September is Suicide Prevention Month

Armed Forces Mission's LOSS TEAM is honored to partner with 60 Miles in September for the 2023 LOSS Walk. Together we are remembering, raising awareness, and supporting initiatives that strengthens surivors and builds resilient communities.

The members of 60 Miles in September are walking in September to raise funds to sponsor and host the Intervene Challenge. The Intervene Challenge is AFM's community training in suicide intervention featuring the Listen Learn Lead Lead model of intervention. More than 26,000 individuals from all walks of life have participated in this one day training event to gain the skill that save lives.

ABOUT AFM's LOSS TEAM

AFM activated the first LOSS Team in the state of Georgia in 2013. Since that time the LOSS Team has provided service throughout the Southeast, traveling as far as 900 miles to assist survivors. Within Atlanta’s southern crescent the LOSS Team is involved with various law enforcement agencies providing services for families in the midst of crisis and grief. The AFM LOSS Team is made possible by the generous support of community members.
